A6 Oath of Frost Village - Day 4 Afternoon

As the argument between party and sentries reaches a crescendo, a group of scouts—Oath cultists on horseback—rushes past us. One of the riders calls to the sentries.

Rider: We have found the remains of a horse in the swamp east of here!

Sentry: What of the Archdruid’s son?!

Rider: No trace of Matteo nor of the stranger anywhere nearby!

Sentry: Then … ?

Rider: The horse was taken for a meal by some creature in the swamp. It seems as if …

@ Ryarn cuts in.

Ryarn: Matteo yet lives!

Sentry nocks an arrow.

Sentry: SILENCE, liar!

Ryarn: The “stranger,” you speak of Una, a very tall human? And Matteo, a boy of five or six years, who does not speak?

Sentry lowers the bow.

Rider: You have seen the son of the Archdruid alive?

Denton: I cured them both of their wounds myself. I fear the woman may have … misrepresented herself to us.

Rider: You will speak to the Archdruid immediately. Follow.

Sentry: For your sake, I pray you do not deceive us.

We are led into the village under close guard. Oath cultists, all wearing identical fur-lined cloaks, begin to gather as word spreads, watching us with a mixture of suspicion and hope, but not malice.
